Code of Conduct

How members are expected to treat each other, and what happens when they don't. This applies to listings, public posts and private messages alike.

Last updated: 16 August 2026

1. The short version

Everyone here is an adult who chose to be here. Treat other members as people, respect the limits they set, and do what you said you would do.

2. Respect boundaries

  • Sellers decide what they offer. Do not push for items or services a seller has said they do not provide.
  • No ends a conversation. Asking again after a refusal is harassment.
  • Do not send explicit images to a member who has not asked for them.
  • Do not contact a member who has blocked you, through another account or by any other means.
  • Do not pressure a member to move to another platform, to share personal contact details, or to meet in person.

3. Be honest

  • Describe items accurately, including wear time and condition.
  • Use your own photographs of the actual item.
  • Do not misrepresent who you are, your age, or your circumstances.
  • Do not create multiple accounts to inflate ratings, evade a restriction, or pose as different sellers.
  • Do not post fake reviews or trade reviews with other members.

4. Honour your deals

GetHuffi does not process payments and is not a party to your transaction. That makes your word the only thing holding a deal together.

  • Agree the price, the item, the wear time and the shipping method before payment.
  • Ship what was agreed, when it was agreed.
  • If something goes wrong, say so promptly rather than going silent.
  • Do not accept payment and disappear. This is fraud, and it ends the account permanently.

Because deals are arranged directly between members, GetHuffi cannot recover money on your behalf, reverse a payment, or compel delivery. Read Staying safe before your first deal.

5. Respect privacy

  • Do not publish another member's real name, address, workplace, social media or any other identifying detail.
  • Do not share private messages, images or personal information a member sent you, anywhere, including outside GetHuffi.
  • Do not attempt to identify a member who has chosen to remain anonymous.
  • Do not threaten to expose a member. This is extortion, and it is reported to the authorities.

6. Prohibited behaviour

  • Harassment, threats, stalking, and repeated unwanted contact
  • Hate speech and abuse directed at a person or group
  • Encouraging self-harm or suicide
  • Blackmail, extortion, and any demand made under threat
  • Scams, chargeback abuse, and payment fraud
  • Spam, mass messaging, and advertising other platforms
  • Attempting to arrange anything prohibited by the Content Policy

7. What happens if you break these rules

Depending on what happened and whether it has happened before, we may:

  • Issue a warning
  • Remove the content
  • Restrict messaging, listing or other features
  • Suspend the account for a period
  • Terminate the account permanently
  • Report the matter to the competent authorities where required by law

Content involving minors, non-consensual material, extortion and fraud lead to immediate permanent termination without warning.

We tell you what action was taken and why. If you believe a decision was wrong, write to [email protected] and explain why.

8. Reporting

Use the report control on any listing, message or profile, or write to [email protected]. See Report Content.

Reporting someone is not a hostile act, and we do not tell the reported member who filed the report.
